Over the past 12 months, we’ve partnered with a sustainable agroforestry initiative to help farmers in coffee-farming areas of Costa Rica, training them to develop coffee varieties and agroforestry trees. The initiative provides them with technical info and practical training to gear them up for success! We're all about doing our bit for the planet, as you and the world deserve better. At Purple, we are always looking for ways to combat climate change, and sustainable agroforestry is one of them. A farming practice that combines the cultivation of trees with crops or livestock, sustainable agroforestry helps combat climate change and create a more sustainable approach to coffee production - what's not to like? Thanks to our help, over 1,600 tree seedlings have been planted, and farmers have received training for better farming practices and become more resilient to climate change through sustainable agronomic practices, reduced costs, and improved resilience.
